CARSON CITY – U.S. Representative Mark E. Amodei (NV-02) today issued the following statement after being re-elected to the U.S. House of Representatives for Nevada’s Second Congressional District, and after Republicans secured the House Majority for the 118th Congress:

“It has been an interesting two weeks and I am looking forward to getting to work with the Lombardo Administration on the issues most important to Nevadans. In this business, you are only as good as your next election. While once again I am blessed to have won every county in Nevada’s Second Congressional District, it is also a deeply humbling experience to be given this responsibility by Nevada voters. I look forward to being your advocate on your issues in Congress and in the House Majority for the next two years. Thank you, Nevada!”

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Representative Mark Amodei today to represent Nevada’s Second Congressional District. The Chamber endorses pro-business candidates for federal office who will vigorously support public policy that will advance economic growth, support jobs, and promote fiscal responsibility.

“The NFIB Guardian of Small Business Award is presented to Members of Congress who have proven themselves to be real champions of small business,” said NFIB President and CEO Brad Close. “This Congress, small businesses emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic but faced continued threats of high inflation, workforce shortages, and supply chain disruptions. These NFIB Guardians demonstrated strong support of small businesses on key issues. CARSON CITY – U.S. Representative Mark Amodei (NV-02) today announced an A+ rating from The Firearm Industry Trade Association (NSSF), which recently released its 2022 Report Card.

“Congressman Amodei is a true friend and ally of the firearm industry and Nevadans when it comes to protecting Second Amendment rights. His leadership on the issues of halting discrimination by ‘woke’ corporate banks against the firearm industry is critical to ensuring firearm businesses are able to access financial services based on credit worthiness. Likewise, his push to hold criminals accountable for burglary and robbery of firearm retailers is much needed at a time when the nation is suffering from rising crime rates. Congressman Amodei’s leadership on legislation for nonprofit organizations to compete for Department of Justice grants to distribute firearm locking devices demonstrates his commitment to safe and responsible firearm ownership, as does his support for legislation to allow lawful concealed carry permit holders to exercise their Second Amendment rights across state lines. Our industry is grateful to Representative Amodei for his commitment to protecting the Second Amendment rights of Nevadans and all Americans and prioritizing firearm safety above politics,” said Lawrence G. The 2022 grade was based on seven roll call votes, cosponsorship of several bills NSSF supports, and non-cosponsorship of several bills that NSSF opposes, as well as leadership on industry-related issues, public statements, work on a committee, floor statements, letters led and signed supporting a key issue, etc., during the 117^th Congress.
